Blue Mountain Recreation Area.

General information.

Region: Region 2--West Central.
Dominant Setting: mountain, forest.
Location: From Interstate 90, take the U.S. Highway 93 exit #101 and head south through Missoula. As you leave Missoula heading south, you will see a "T" intersection(has a light signal) where U.S. Highway 93 meets the Blue Mountain Road. Turn right onto Blue Mountain Road and head west to the main trailhead. The trailhead has a large parking area just about where the road makes a 90-degree turn.

Amenities: pit toilets, trash containers, parking.
This site is open year-round.
Pets are allowed (off leash).

3: Picture 3--Latrine is 120' from accessible parking spaces. Max slope is 8.7%.

4: Picture 4--The mixed use trailhead allows horses. See ramp and chute for mounting horses. Vegetation in the surface of the ramp may make access difficult for someone with a disability. There is no transfer device.
