Region: Region 2--West Central.
Dominant Setting: forest, river/stream.
Location: From Hamilton travel 2 miles south on Highway 93. Turn east (left) on Skalkaho Highway 38. Follow Skalkaho Highway 38 approximately 12 miles. There is a pull out with an information board located on the south (right) side of the road.

Trail name: Centennial Grove Trail.
Type of trail: destination trail (Stream Overlook).
Trail surface: paved, surface is firm, surface is stable.
Trail dimensions: minimum clear tread width of 45 inches, maximum running slope of 5.8 degrees, maximum cross slope of 4.8 degrees, trail has 60 by 60 inch passing/ resting/ turn-around areas, average distance between passing areas is 250 feet, there are tread obstacles, maximum tread obstacle height is 3 inches.
Length: up to 0.25 mile.
Other trail features: benches, some benches have back support.
Comment: There is a 7 foot section of trail where tree roots have uplifted the asphalt creating a tread obstacle of about 3 inches. Maximum slopes are only for very short distances on switchbacks.

1: Picture 1--Portion of the paved trail leading from the parking lot to the river overlook. Pine needles can be seen covering the trail, and the trail is broken and uneven in places from tree roots. This section is the worst section of the trail.
2: Picture 2--A large 10- by 15-foot paved river overlook area at the end of the paved trail. Two benches with back supports are located along the edge of the pad.
3: Picture 3--This picture shows the 7-foot section of trail where tree roots have uplifted the asphalt, creating a tread obstacle of about 3 inches.
4: Picture 4--The trail and overlook are susceptible to debris build-up from overhead canopy trees. Recent improvements have improved asphalt conditions.
5: Picture 5--Most of the trail has minimal slopes as it meanders through old growth forest down to the stream.
