Additional information about this location.
1: There are single picnic tables with shelters at this site and three of them are accessible. There are also single picnic tables that are out in the open. Some of these tables have accessible paths to them and are on cement pads others are in grassy areas that may be more difficult to access because of uneven terrain. Finally there is an accessible group picnic area that is sheltered, which can be accessed using a paved path from the upper parking lot. There are no marked accessible parking spaces in this lot. There are marked accessible parking spaces in the main parking area, which also has paved pathways to the group picnic area, but the distance is quite a bit farther.
The portion of the trail that is not paved narrows to 48 inches in some places. Its surface is mostly packed gravel, but there is an area with loose gravel at the area furthest from the paved path. It has a maximum running slope of 9.5% (for distance of 40 feet) and a cross slope on one corner of 7%. There is a wooden bridge that has some rough asphalt leading to it and there is a tread obstacle to access the bridge that is 1.5 inches high.
