Aspen Grove.

General information.

Region: Region 2--West Central.
Dominant Setting: mountain, forest, river/stream.
Location: Travel 6 miles east of Lincoln on Montana Highway 200, then follow access road to Aspen Grove Campground. There are two separate facilities here; one is for overnight camping and another is for day use.
Manager: USDA Forest Service.
Amenities: pit toilets, trash containers, drinkable water.
There is a use fee at this location.
Pets are allowed (on leash).

1: Picture 1--Interpretive panels adjacent to entrance area.

2: Picture 2--Trail to amphitheater which is located between the two camp loops. The trail is firm & stable, however it has vegetation creeping in on the sides.

3: Picture 3--Information kiosk and registration area at entrance to the campground.

4: Picture 4--Accessible latrine 100' across from campsite # 17. There is a 2-3" obstacle from gravel to concrete pad. Gravel is somewhat loose.

5: Picture 5--Campsite #17. Even though this is a poor picture, the parking pad size is 20' by 50'. The campsite has slopes around 2-3%.

Aspen Grove is a nice campground but it does not have any designated accessible campsites. However, some of the campsites meet some of the accessibility standards with slopes & tables. Campsite # 17 is an example.
