1: Picture 1--Picnic shelter with latrine in the far background. There is a concrete curb around the perimeter of the shelter with loose gravel on the inside. Best access to an accessible table would be on the far side of the shelter.

Johnsrud can be a very congested site during the 6-weeks of hot summer, mainly on the weekends. The upper boat launch/beach area is where it gets the worse. Vehicle access is allowed to this area for a 20 minute unloading/loading period. For launching or retrieving boats, the downstream/lower ramp is the best during this time-frame.
