Grant Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site.

General information.

Region: Region 2--West Central.
Dominant Setting: mountain.
Location: Grant-Kohrs Ranch is located directly off I-90 midway between Yellowstone NP and Glacier NP in Deer Lodge, Montana. Easily accessible from the interstate. The ranch is 1/2 mile from exit 184. It can also be accessed from exit 187. After a short 2 mile drive through the city of Deer Lodge you will see Grant-Kohrs Ranch located at the north end of town.

Comment: Guided tours of the main floor are available daily. The staff is very accommodating to people with disabilities. Very informative and enjoyable.

Comment: Great staff at the visitor center that will orient you to the site and what to do. Also, available are books, souvenirs, etc. Nice ramps and space inside visitor center.

2: Picture 2--Visitor center right off of the main parking lot. Paved trail system to visitor center and onto the historic ranch house that is 400 yards beyond.

Unloading/loading is available near the front of the house with parking available 300' away. Tours of the main floor are available daily. Staff members are very accommodating to people with disabilities.

The first floor of the main ranch house, restrooms, and some paths are accessible for visitors with disabilities. Special parking is also available. Stop at the park visitor center for more details.
