Location: From Butte go 6 miles east, take the Homestake exit #233 and continue approximately 1/2 mile to the picnic area.

Amenities: pit toilets, drinkable water.
Pets are allowed (on leash).

Accessible activities: none.
Non-accessible activities: fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming.

Homestake Picnic Area makes for a nice day trip from Butte. The trails throughout the picnic grounds are a fairly soft gravel material.
